What's farther out? I drove to Tecumseh.

  • The Flying Otter winery is about 5 miles south, on Chase Road. Get there via Raisin Center Highway aka Evans St, which parallels our tracks much of the way.
  • Kapnick's Orchards has the cider and donuts we serve on our fall trains, along with an amazing collection of fruit, candied apples, snacks and candy. East on M-50 (and south on Rogers Highway about 3 miles.)
  • Cabela's is a huge outdoor goods store. Need we say more? East on M-50 at US-23. If you're returning to metro Detroit it's only about 15 miles out of your way.
  • There are all sorts of other shops and restaurants in Dundee, east on M-50 at US-23.
  • The Irish Hills tourist area is along US-12, which M-50 connects to in several places.
  • Michigan International Speedway is west 15 miles on M-50.
  • The Botanical Gardens is west about 8 miles on M-50.
